## The society

**Story.** Founded in 1965 as the Commerce Students' Society, BSS began with a
simple idea: what you learn in class becomes transformative when you apply it.
Today it is led by students across finance, marketing, consulting,
entrepreneurship and management.

**Mission.** To empower business students to grow beyond the classroom,
bridging theory and practice through professional exposure, leadership
opportunities, and a community built on learning, collaboration and career
growth. It does that through events, workshops, competitions and partnerships.

**Vision.** To become the leading platform for business students, fostering
initiative, professionalism and impact, and preparing members to thrive in an
evolving global business environment.

  password never leaves the member's browser: only a one way proof of it is sent, and the site
  keeps a keyed fingerprint of that. Accounts are kept by the site itself, with Cloudflare as its
  processor. The site counts its own visitors (people per day; no cookie, no address or identifier
  kept, nothing under Do Not Track) and runs no other analytics. No sponsor receives member details.
- Cookies: https://bssaub.com/cookies . One cookie, bss_member, written
  only after a sign in, holding a display name for the greeting and nothing else. Local storage
  holds the visitor count's va.counted mark and, for a signed in member, the session. No consent
  banner: everything stored runs the account the visitor asked for or stops the count counting
  them twice.

  payment is taken through it, so there is nothing on it to refund. The card is honoured in
