Using this site means accepting what is on this page. If you do not accept it, close the tab.

Making a member account is also accepting it, and the account can be closed at any time by asking us.

The society is run by students and is separate from the university's own administration. Nothing here speaks for AUB.

An account is yours, and the rules for it are short:

• Use your own name and an email address you actually control.
• One account per person. Do not make one for somebody else.
• Keep the password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
• The card on your account screen is yours to show and not to lend. A card shown by somebody else may be refused by the sponsor and may end the membership.

The site sends no email, so a forgotten password is not reset by link. Ask us, from the address the account uses, and we clear it; you then make a new one under Create account with that same address, and your membership stays yours.

We may suspend or close an account that is used to impersonate somebody, to abuse a sponsor's offer, or to attack the site.

There is no checkout on this website, no price on it and no payment form. No card number is ever asked for.

So there is nothing here to refund. Where a membership involves a fee, it is arranged with the society directly and in person, and any question about it, including a refund, is answered the same way: email [email protected] or speak to a committee member.

The card on your account screen is a record of a membership, not a receipt for a payment.

The card appears on your account page while the membership is running, and stops appearing when it lapses. Renewing brings it back.

It is honoured in person by the sponsor, on sight. The page is a convenient way to carry it and is not itself an authorisation of anything.

The dates shown are checked against the site's own clock when your account page opens, so a card goes when the membership runs out whatever your device's clock says. Either way, the sponsor is the one who decides.

Every discount on this site is an offer made by that sponsor, on terms the sponsor sets. We publish what we were told, we do not guess at a number we were not given, and we correct anything found to be wrong.

A sponsor may change or withdraw an offer without telling us first. Where that happens, the honest answer is that the page was right when it was written and is now behind, and we would rather hear about it than not.

We are not a party to what happens at the counter. A dispute about an offer is between you and that shop, though we will always ask on your behalf.

Events, workshops and competitions are announced with their own details, and where one has a fee, a deadline or a limit on places, that is stated when it is announced rather than here.

A place at an event is not part of a membership unless it says so.

You may read anything here, link to any page and quote it with a credit. You may not:

• copy the design, the code or the copy for another site,
• present the site or any page of it as an official page of the university,
• attack it, or attempt to reach the committee screen behind its password,
• scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people.

The society's name, its mark, this site's design, its code and its copy belong to the society or to the people who made them for it. Sponsor names and logos belong to those sponsors and appear here with their agreement.

Nothing on this page transfers a right to use any of it.

The site is provided as it is. It is run by students alongside a degree: it may be offline, a page may be out of date, and an offer may have moved on before the page did.

To the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect loss arising from using this site, such as a journey made for an offer that turned out to have ended. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These terms are governed by Lebanese law and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

We may update these terms. The date at the top moves when we do, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the new version.
